Sera pinot noir is named for our daughter and the Italian word for evening. It  expresses the beauty, strength, and grace of the  B habitat terroir .

This proprietors’ reserve was blended under the direction of Shaun Bybee from select barrels of  dijon clones 115, 114, 667  and  Pommard. It was aged 15 months in French Oak barrels of a higher percentage of new wood from the Allier and Troncais forests.  It is held and  bottle-aged a minimum of  12 months until  we deem it ready for release, to be poured and enjoyed with fine cuisine. It is crafted to be cellared and revisited as it matures further over time. Sera  2006 will pair well with meats and grills, winter risottos, pastas bolognese and cacciatore.

Deep garnet in hue,  with classic Green Valley aromas of earth, sage and black plum on the nose, buoyed and balanced  with firm tannins and acidity. This wine, extracted gently from proprietors' select fruit, represents the strengths of the 2006 vintage and a  full expression of  the B habitat terroir. We hand craft  this wine for cellaring and revisiting over time.  Decanting is recommended.
